Prominent political activists from Kupwara join Apni Party

SRINAGAR, Nov 7: Prominent political activist Ghulam Ahmad Shah along with his associates from district Kupwara today joined Apni Party.
The new entrants were welcomed by party senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir, provincial secretary Nazir Wani Dailgami, district president Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Ghulam Ahmad Mir district president Pulwama, party media advisor Farooq Andrabi and Mushtaq Zuhami, at party office located at Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
Speaking on this occasion Ghulam Ahmad Shah observed that the vision and pragmatic agenda of the Apni Party convinced him to join the Party and use this political platform for the welfare of people on a grassroots level. Those who joined the party fold include Amir Aziz Gojri, Syed Aqib Bukhari, Adnan Shah and Basit Hamid.
Shah said that the performance of Apni Party leadership especially its president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari during his stint in the previous elected Government has left indelible marks on the minds of socio-political activists who aspire to dedicate themselves to the empowerment of common people.
He pledged to put into his efforts to strengthen the party on the ground and further its socio-economic and political activities so as to address the sufferings of the people in his area.
Addressing the ceremony, Ghulam Hassan Mir, senior vice president of the party said that with the joining of Ghulam Ahmad Shah the party cadre in the district Kupwara will get a boost that will result in mitigation of miseries of the people and will also, pave way for the holistic development in the Kupwara district.
