Promoting a film on digital medium is necessary: Arjun Kapoor

MUMBAI, Oct 15:
Arjun Kapoor, who revealed the first look of his upcoming film ‘Tevar’ on Twitter, feels it is important to promote a movie on social-networking sites.
‘Tevar’, the remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Okkadu’, is produced by Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor and uncle Sanjay Kapoor. The Amit Sharma-directed film will hit theatres on January 9, 2015.
“This is the first time that I have launched the poster of my film on Twitter. Promoting the film on digital platform is an emerging trend and it’s important too. It gives you a scope to interact with your fans and get feedbacks instantly. My only motive to launch the motion poster online was to be in touch with my fans,” Arjun said.
The actor has received a positive feedback from his celebrity friends and fans, who are liking the 29-year-old actor’s rugged look in the film.
Arjun is also planning to hold a contest with his more than three lakh admirers on the micro-blogging site before releasing the trailer. Through the contest, the lucky ones will get a chance to meet him and leading lady Sonakshi Sinha.
“We are going to launch the trailer soon and I would like to meet fans all across the country before that. I just want to make it so interactive that if someone wants to know anything about the film, he/she can directly get it online,” he said. (PTI)
