RAJOURI, Nov 25: Property worth lakhs was destroyed when the house of Ali Mohd suddenly caught fire at village Dhanna in Thanamandi during last night.
A police spokesman said that in a written complaint, Gulzar Hussain, son of Ali Mohd claimed that their house was torched by some unidentified persons during last mid night. Some cattle were also injured in the incident and house hold items burnt. The family members, however, escaped unhurt.
The police registered a case and started investigation. It said that possibility of foul play can not be ruled out. The loss of property was being assessed.
