SRINAGAR: Property worth lakhs of rupees has been destroyed in two different fire incidents involving seven houses in the down town Srinagar on Friday, official sources said.
They said fire broke out in a house at Bubul Lanker, Nawa Kadal when people are going for “Fajr”, morning prayers. Fire and Emergency Service (F&ES) was immediately informed, they said adding second fire incident was reported in nearby locality of Tarabal.
We have rushed about 20 fire tenders from different parts of the city besides F&ES headquarter at Batmaloo, an official said.
He said a total of seven houses and their household goods were destroyed in the fire.
However, there was no report of any loss of life or injury, he said adding the cause of fire was not known. (AGENCIES)
