Proposal to set up 150 ITIs, 142 SDCs sent to Centre: Vikar

JAMMU, Mar 22: Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool today informed the Legislative Assembly that the State Government has submitted a proposal for establishing 150 ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centers to the Centre for approval under Public Private Partnership mode.
He was replying to the question of Congress MLA from Ramban, Ashok Kumar during Question Hour. “The Central Government contemplates to cover the backlog of these institutions during 12th five year plan”, the Minister said.
G M Saroori, Hakim Mohammad Yasin, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Qamar Ali Akhoon, Er Abdul Rashid, Ashwani Sharma, Mohammad Sharief Niaz, Yashpaul Kundal, Krishan Chander Bhagat, Peer Afaq, Aijaz Ahmed Jan and Harshdev Singh  raised supplementaries on the question.
