MENDHAR, No 28: The people held protest against the Revenue Department and Police by blocking the road at Mendhar in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that Revenue and the Police team reached Behra village in Gohlad for marking/ Nishandehi of the disputed land. Two parties clashed with each other for this piece of land. Even during clash three people were injured and they were admitted to the sub-district hospital in Mendhar.
After the incident, a party blocked the road to Mendhar’ Yaad Ghar Chowk near Bus Stand and started a demonstration against Revenue and Police. The movement of vehicles was disrupted. They alleged that Police and Revenue teams did not inform them before arrival for Nishandehi and was hand in glove with other party. They demanded action against those who attached their members.
SHO Mendhar, Niaz Ahmed reached the spot and assured fair action. Police cleared the traffic from both sides by removing the protestors.
