RAJOURI, Apr 27:  People held strong protest  against police and blocked road for about two hours near Bus Stand in Nowshera town today.
Reports said that family members and relatives of Sikander Khan, whose decomposed body had been recovered from the area on October 26, 2014, came out on the road and started protest against police. The family alleged that police failed to solve the case even after six months. No body was arrested in connection with the murder of  Sikander. They said that several times, the family approached the concerned SHO and even the DySP but no satisfactory reply was received.
Instead of solving the murder, the cops started threatening the family members. Supported by the locals of the area, the family members and relatives blocked road and sat on dharna near Bus Stand Nowshera. The vehicular movement remained suspended for over two hours. They shouted slogans against police.  Later, ASP and SDM intervened and assured the family to solve the case shortly. The people gave one week time to the police to solve case and then lifted dharna.
