Provincial body of JKEEU extends full support to 72 hour strike call

JAMMU, Sept 6: The provincial body of J&K Electric Employees Union (JKEEU) has extended full support to 72 hour strike call given by its parent body from September 12 in support of various long pending demands of the power employees.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the Provincial body of JKEEU here today which was held under the chairmanship of Krishan Singh its provincial president and Deepak Tandon its vice chairman.
The meeting appealed all organizations of PDD to extend full support to the strike call in the larger interests of the power employees irrespective of their individual differences.
The Union is demanding creation of additional posts in newly created circles and divisions, creation of carry on posts of newly appointed Tech-III for promotion benefits, sanctioning of Risk and Hardship Allowance, implementation of health insurance, release of grade as per SRO 381 in favour of Meter readers/ SBAs /line erectors, inclusion of casual laborers (need based) into wages head and release of pending wages in their favour, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and executive cadre, payment of exgratia to power employees on the pattern of police,  amendment in SRO 381, declaration of PDD as Technical Department, pension for PDC employees, implementation of SRO 149, implementation of Government Order No 129 in favour of PDD employees  who are in service as Tech IV, restoration of post of Chief Foreman in Gazetted Cadre at par with AE of Engineering Department and absorption of in service feeding Senior Foreman/JE s to the post of additional Assistant Engineer.
