KATHUA, Sept 4: The first ever meeting of J&K Panchayati Raj & Rural Area Welfare Society (PRRAWS) was held here today under the chairmanship of State president D.P. Khajuria.
The meeting passed a resolution and a District Committee for district Kathua was constituted with Kapoor Singh Jamwal as district president.
Yash Paul Sharma was elected as vice-president, Parkash Chand as cashier and Joginder Singh as secretary.
Tirloki Nath, Parlad Singh, Asha Rani, Bishamber Dass, Puran Chand Gupta and Tilak Raj were nominated as members of Executive Committee.
