JAMMU, Nov 21: A delegation of Private Schools Association Jammu, led by its president Kamal Gupta, called on Chairman J&K State Board of School Education and apprised him about the problems being faced by the private schools in getting extension of Recognition / Affiliation.
Gupta explained that despite repeated pleas by the Association for single window clearance system in extension of Recognition / Affiliation of all those schools functioning for more than ten years, new complicated and time consuming formalities were created by BOSE & Education Department.
He demanded that time for the conduct of inspection of a Private school should be specified while no screening be done by the sub- committee on the report submitted by joint inspection team comprising of Board officers and representatives of Government, such as Principal / Headmaster of Government School.
He also stressed that the team, which inspects private school, verifies physically infrastructure and other documents for the Recognition / Affiliation, should be comprised of the officers of integrity.
Ajay Gupta, State coordinator PSA J&K, urged the Chairman JKBOSE not to impose any type of fine in addition to inspection fee to the Private schools as most of the private schools are low budget schools and being run by the unemployed educated youth who are generating employment and promoting literacy by charging meager amount from students.
The Chairman JKBOSE, Nutan K Resutra assured the members that he would look into the grievances of private school to sort out their problems within couple of days.
