PSC student to witness Chandrayaan-2 landing with PM

JAMMU, Sept 5: Mehak Chopra, a class 10th student of Presentation Convent School (PSC), Jammu has been invited to join the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for witnessing the Moon landing of Chandrayaan-2, live at ISRO Control Room in Bengaluru.
Daughter of Rajeev Chopra and Meenu Chopra, Mehak has topped from Jammu and Kashmir in the Space Quiz 2019. About 70,000 students of class 8th to 10th from all over India had participated in the Quiz out of which only 50 students have been selected.
All these 50 students will be present with PM Narendra Modi at the ISRO centre in Bengaluru to witness live the space feat on September 7.
‘Vikram’ with rover ‘Pragyaan’ housed inside is scheduled for a powered-descent between 1 am and 2 am on September 7, followed by its touchdown between 1.30 am and 2.30 am.
