JAMMU, Jan 13: Pt. Premnath Dogra Memorial FC (PDMFC) emerged winners of the Mini Football Championship and lifted the title by defeating Udhampur City FC at Khel Gaon Nagrota, near here today.
Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Deputy Mayor Advocate Purnima Sharma was the chief guest of the final match along with senior Football player Rakesh Khanna, president Mini Football Association J&K (MFAJK), Devashish Sharma, general secretary, Manik Bandral, vice president, Pranav Bandral, treasurer, Arjun Sharma, senior manager, Kuldeep Singh, manager, Dalip Singh, Ansh Gupta, Faizan Mirza, Anirudh Gupta and other members of the MFAJK.
In the final match Shubham was the center referee along with Arjun Sharma and Faizan Mirza as line referees.
Alyas’s single goal after five minutes of the commencement of the game made Pt PDMFC take the lead through 1 goal to nil, who rifled the ball into the lower right corner with a powerful right-footed strike in the 5th minute of the first half.
During the second half, both the teams played brilliantly but not a single goal was scored by either side which ultimately led to the victory of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Memorial by 1 goal to nil.
Later, the winner and runner up teams were awarded with medals and trophies by the chief guest Deputy Mayor Adv Purnima Sharma in presence of general secretary Manik Bandral, Devashish president and others members and dignitaries.
Devashish Sharma secured 9 goals during the tournament.
