SAMBA, May 12: Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur organized a T-20 Cricket match between PTTI Vijaypur XI and MV International School-XI (Vijaypur) under the supervision of Shiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur, here today.
The objective behind this T-20 match was to promote sports activities as well as inculcate a sense of team spirit and sportsmanship among the youth and staff members.
Kuldeep Raj, DySP (Indoor/Tech) PTTI Vijaypur tossed the coin which was won by SI Kapil Raina, Captain PTTI-XI, who decided to bowl first.
Batting first, MV International School-XI gave a target of 187 runs. In reply, PTTI Vijaypur-XI lost some quick wickets, but 8th wicket partnership of more than 70 runs between Inspector Javed Hussain and SgCt. Vishal helped PTTI Vijaypur-IX to chase down the target in the 18th over after the loss of 9 wickets.
Pankaj, captain MV International School- XI was adjudged as man of the match for his enthralling innings of 91 runs. The winning team was felicitated with a trophy and the runner-up team with participation certificates. Sub Inspector Shakeel Singh and SgCt. Mehboob Ali acted as umpires.
Principal PTTI Vijaypur congratulated the winning team and highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of an individual.
Among others, Zia Ul Haq, DySP (Admn/Outdoor) PTTI Vijaypur, Inspector Surrinder Paul, Inspr. Tariq Mehmood, Inspr. Ram Lal, Inspr. Kanwal Raina, Inspr. Pawan Anand and Inspr. Mulkh Raj were present during the event.
