PTU Youth Fest concludes at Aryans Group of Colleges

JAMMU, Oct 20: The ‘Youth Fest of IKG-PTU Jalandhar’ concluded at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh, wherein BBSBEC Fatehgarh won overall winner trophy and declared overall winner, while SVIET, Banur stood 1st runner up overall during prize distribution in closing ceremony, today.
The Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura students won in the spot ‘Photography & Poem Recitation’. Thousands of students of around 10 Colleges from various districts of West Zone of IKG-PTU, Jalandhar participated in various cultural activities of the Festival.
The Fest was inaugurated by Finance Minister Punjab, S. Harpal Singh Cheema as chief guest, while Neena Mittal, MLA Rajpura was the guest of honour.
On the second day, MLA Ghanaur, Gurlal Singh was the chief guest and he interacted with all the students, wherein Adv Vikram Passi, Lovish Mittal, Rupinder Singh, President Anaaj Mandi, Rajpura were the special guests.
Sumeer Sharma, Assistant Director, Youth Affairs, IKG-PTU was present on occasion, while Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman; Aryans Group presided over the function.
Renowned Punjabi singers Sangram Hanjra, Jashan, Gursewak Likhari, Param and Kashmiri artist Popping Sam also enthralled the audience during various days in youth fest.
In Music, Dance, Theatre, Bhangra, Group Shabad, Classical Music, Fine Arts, Literary, Elocution, Poster Making, Debate, Quiz, Mehandi, Collage Making, Cartooning, Western Group Song , Light Vocal Indian etc, Baba Banda Singh College stood first.
In Essay writing, Poem recitation and on the spot painting; Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology, Banur stood first and 2nd in Debate, Mehandi etc. ISF College Moga got 3rd position in Mehandi and short story writing, while Gurdasi Devi Institute of Technology, Budhlada secured 3rd position in Gidha and on the spot photography.
