JAMMU, July 5: The residents of Friends Sector, Subash Nagar have expressed strong resentment over the early closure of local Post Office, causing incovenince to the general public.
The locals alleged that though the timing of the Post offices and its allied offices is from 9 am to 5 pm, yet the Post Office at Subash Nagar in Jammu is closed around 3 pm. It is happening for the last several days. They further pointed out that inspite of its right time, it opens around an hour late on many occasions.
They alleged that there is no proper monitoring by the senior officers of the department and the public has been left to suffer. They sought intervention of Post Master General and other senior supervisory staff urging upon them to regularly monitor functioning of the Post offices of the Jammu West.
