Public toilet facility inaugurated at Raghunath Bazaar

JAMMU, Mar 28: Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Kiran Wattal inaugurated Public Toilet Complex at Partap Garh, Raghunath Bazaar, Jammu in the presence of Market Association President Baldev Khullar, Health Officer, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Executive Engineer (Trikuta Division), Asstt. Executive Engineer and other staff of Trikuta Division, JMC.
The infrastructure has been created at the cost of Rs. 2.35 lakh  providing facilities of 3 urinals i.e one separate toilet compartment for ladies and two for gents to have general urinal facility for the public at large and also for Vaishno Devi Pilgrims coming from different states of India who visit Raghunath Bazaar for shopping purposes. The Commissioner gave on spot  instructions to Health wing of JMC for looking after the sanitation work on regular basis, in view of Pilgrimage site in the area.
The JMC has appointed a permanent Safaikaramchari for full sanitation of the Toilet Complex. Besides maintenance of Toilet complex including sanitation, Power Supply etc is being taken up by Sulabh International Organization.
During the occasion President Raghunath Bazar Businessmen Association Mr. Khullar and other members of Association discussed other problems of the area with Municipal Commissioner, who assured them that in near future JMC will look after the other problems of Raghunath Bazaar.
