CHANDIGARH, Mar 13: A meeting of Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) held under the leadership of Dr Anshu Kataria, President of PUCA, Punjab Unaided Technical Institute Association (PUTIA) and Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges in Chandigarh, wherein Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Rajya Sabha was the special guest during 9th Foundation Day of PUCA.
Renowned educationists Ashwani Sekhri, Manjit Singh,Dr. Gurmeet Dhaliwal, Gurvinder Singh, Sandeep Kaura, Gurdyal Singh Buttar, Dr. Guninderjit Singh Jawandha, among other luminaries were present. The theme for the day was “Making Punjab the Destination for Technical Education.”
On the occasion around 300-400 educationists from various technical colleges assured that they will remain resolutely committed to delivering high-quality education, coupled with excellent internship and placement opportunities. It was mentioned that despite the immigration ban, Punjab’s colleges and universities will stand ready to welcome students, ensuring their educational and career prospects remain unhindered.
The event also served as a poignant moment to pay tribute to four eminent figures in the educational sector; late (Dr.) JS Dhaliwal, Former Lifetime President of PUTIA; late Avtar Singh of Sri Sukhmani Group, Dera Bassi; late Sukhdev Singla of Indo Global Group, Abhipur; and late Charanjit Walia, President of the Nursing Colleges Association.
