PULWAMA, May 20: The long awaited final of the cricket tournament Namely ‘Pulwama Cricket Champions League’ was held at the District Police Lines ground, here today.
The match was played between Gymkhana Srinagar and ICC Tahab Pulwama, wherein the latter defeated former convincingly to win the title trophy.
Nitish Kumar, DIG SKR Anantnag, Tejinder Singh, SP Pulwama, Iftikhat Ahmad, DySP DAR Pulwama, Qazi Shamas- ul-Muzaffar, DySP Hqrs Pulwama, Mohd Shafiq, DySP Ops Pulwama and other officers were present on the occasion.
The guest of honour DIG South Kashmir Range distributed the cash prize and trophies among the winner team (ICC Tahab Pulwama) and runners-up team (Gymkhana Srinagar). Mehraj-ud-Din of Gymkhana Srinagar was declared as man of the series, while Tanveer Ahmad of ICC Tahab Pulwama was adjudged as man of the match.
The people of the area appreciated the endeavor of the Police inculcating such sports activities in the players.
