JAMMU, Apr 1: Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) have termed alleged chemical spray on innocent migrant workers at Bareilly as heinous crime and demanded strict action against those involved in the act.
In a handout Dr Arun Mitra, Senior Vice President IDPD and Dr Shakeel Ur Rahman, General Secretary IDPD said that the spray can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, irritation, damage to eyes etc.
They appealed to the Government to instruct law enforcing agencies to use restraint and empathy while dealing with the people.
“Everybody in the society is under stress and fear these days and any wrong action by the Government machinery may lead to agitation from the people which can have disastrous impact,” they further said.
They also advised the people to use hand sanitizers cautiously and keep them away from children.
