JAMMU, Sept 18: Wrestler Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla in Punjab lifted 21st Annual Rustam-e-Bhatindi Dangal Title 2015, defeating Wrestler Rimple of Amritsar in the first malli bout that lasted for 21 minutes at village Bhatindi, here today.
Vishal Dangal a mega and historic one day wrestling event was organized by Panjpeer Dhargah Shareef Bhatindi, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. 78 bouts were played in this vishal and well organized dangal. The dangal was organized under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Bhatindi Choudhary Noor Alam
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Jammu Shiv kumar Sharma who is alsi Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among winners and runners-up Wrestlers. Retd. S.P Prithvi Raj Sharma presided over the function. Wrestling promoter and Social Activist Ram Paul Sharma was the guest of honour.
Winner of Ist malli bout Gani was awarded with cash prize of Rs 46,000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Prithvi Raj Sharma and Sarpanch Noor Alam, while runners-up Wrestler Rimple was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
