JAMMU, Nov 28: Pushp Vatika- a pre-primary playway school Jeevan Nagar celebrated its ‘Annual Day-cum-Prize Distribution Function’ at Teacher Bhawan Auditorium, on the theme ‘Rishtey-the eternal bond of togetherness’, here today.
Chief guest of the event was HR Pakhroo (Joint Director of School Education).The programme was presided over by Baldev Singh Billawaria (Deputy Mayor, JMC, while the guests of honour were Dr Priya Saini (MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Sheetal Dogra (Scientist) and Dwarka Gaadhi (IAS Apprentice).
The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, accompanied by Rameshwar Mengi (Principal of the School), Rita Mengi (Trustee – RMPS), Rakshan Mengi (Director-RMPS), Risheek Mengi (Director- PushpVatika) along with other eminent dignitaries.
The little toddlers added colour to the occasion with their cultural performances such as ‘Ganesh Vandana’, welcome dance, Rajasthani folk dance, Jungle dance and so on.
Baldev Singh Billawaria appreciated the dedicated and sincere efforts put up by the School administration especially the teachers in nurturing the young toddlers. Dr Priya Saini said that the credit for taking an Institution to such heights of success goes to its dedicated teachers as well as the School management.
Sheetal Dogra praised the School for giving such a stage exposure to students and appreciated the efforts of the staff members, while Dwarka Gaadhi said that the annual function determines the mile-stone of progress for an Institution to inculcate in children the qualities of leadership and also to make them smart, extrovert and confident.
Director Risheek Mengi shared the School’s achievements through the annual report for the academic session-2020-21.Meritorious students were given away the prizes by the chief guest for their excellence in academics and other co-curricular performance.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Sushma Sharma (Headmistress) and the staff members. In the end, the Principal appreciated the staff members for their tireless efforts to work for the upliftment of the Institution.
