JAMMU, Nov 30: J&K Private Schools Association has appealed the Education Department and more particularly the J&K Board of School Education to provide more time to the private schools for getting fresh NOCs from different department.
In a statement, the Association, Kamal Gupta explained that due to delay in holding of affiliation committee meeting, the validity period of NOCs got lapsed and the schools were not at any fault for the same. Now the authorities have directed these schools to get fresh NOCs within 10 days, which is not possible since it is a lengthy process and requires one to two months time, he added and demanded three months time for getting fresh NOCs.
Kamal Gupta also drew attention towards more than 200 recognition files of Middle standard schools pending in the Directorate of School Education for clearance since 2010. He appealed the Education Minister for personal intervention into the matter and redressal of the grievances of private schools.
