PYC intensifies ‘Booth Jodo, Youth Jodo’ campaign

JAMMU, Sept 29: Youth Congress Jammu & Kashmir, under the guidance of National general secretary of India Youth Congress and Incharge Jammu Kashmir, Jagdev Gaga, convened a crucial state executive meeting today at the party headquarters in Jammu today.
The primary focus of this meeting was to strategize and intensify the recently launched signature drive initiated by the Youth Congress Jammu & Kashmir. The signature drive was launched in response to the statement made by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, claiming that 80 percent of the population in Jammu & Kashmir is contented without elections. This initiative aims to gauge the sentiment of the people regarding elections and their overall satisfaction.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the discussion surrounding the “Booth Jodo, Youth Jodo” campaign.
Aakash Bharat, PYC president expressed concern over the perceived failure of the LG government in Jammu & Kashmir and the resulting hardships faced by the people. He asserted that the BJP is delaying elections due to a fear of losing, recognizing the growing dissent against their rule.
He highlighted the impending expiration of the tenure of Urban Local Body representatives on November 15, 2013 emphasizing the need to address the issues faced by the people effectively. He urged members of the Jammu & Kashmir Youth Congress to proactively engage with the public at the grass-root level, listening to their problems and striving to find solutions.
PYC vice presidents- Divyansh Singh, Romi Sharma, Amit Syal and Fiaz Diwan; general secretaries Sushil Bhagat, Sahil Singh Langeh, Ajay Salalia, Anirudh Sawhney, Shahnawaz Khaki, and Fairoz Khan were also present.
