JAMMU, Oct 5: Pt. Radha Krishan Ganjoo Memorial Trust organized a function at Roop Nagar near here today in which rich tribute were paid to those Pandits who laid down their lives in upholding the cherished values of the community’s civilization. The tributes were also paid to late teachers of DAV fraternity for their contribution to society.
Swami Kumar Ji and Dr K L Choudhray were chief guest and guests of honour respectively. A Baghti Sangeet programme was also held on the occasion.
During the function P N Kaul Sayil, a well known writer, Ramesh Hangloo of Sharda Radio 90.4 FM and R L Ganjoo were given away the awards by the Trust for their contribution in their respective fields. The awards were presented to them by Swami Kumar Ji and Dr Agnishekhar, convener Panun Kashmir.
The speakers including Dr Sushil Wattal, Dr Agnishekhar, T K Ganjoo, Swami Kumar Ji and others highlighted the contribution of illustrious teachers and other martyrs of the community. They also paid glowing tributes to them. The programme was compared by P L Hatash and later the Prasad was served to the gathering.
