SRINAGAR, Aug 13: Defeating Umerhair Buchpora Football Club in a close contest in the title clash, Radpora Khanyar Football Club lifted the title trophy of the Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Madar-e-Meharbaan Football Tournament at Polo ground, here today.
Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Senior Leader National Conference was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the valedictory function.
Sixteen teams participated with Umerhair Buchpora Football Club and the FC Radpora Khanyar making it to the finals with the latter winning by 3-2 goals. Bilal Ahmad was captain of Radpora Khanyar team and Javid Ahmed of Umerhair Buchpora team.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kamaal while congratulating all the teams for participation stressed for playing the game with sporting spirit.
