JAMMU, Apr 27: Fabulous 38 prizes of 27th Police Public Mela, which was held at Gulshan Ground on February 21, 2016 were distributed among the winners by the Director General of Police, K Rajendra Kumar at an impressive function held at Officers Mess here today.
The prizes were handed over to the winners on production of original raffle draw tickets and after completing required formalities.
Mr. Rajendra congratulated the winners and extended good wishes to them for their happy and prosperous life. He informed that the remaining prizes would be handed over to the winners at Srinagar and the winners have been asked to contact AIG (Welfare) PHQ and complete the formalities before May 20th 2016, otherwise their claim would not be entertained as per the laid down rules.
Prizes distributed among the winners include Amaze cars to Mohammad Ishaq of Poonch, Tariq Ahmad of Ganderbal, Nisar-ul-Din of Ramban, Rita Devi of Jodhpur Doda and Mohammad Sideeq of Budgam.
Six Wagon-R cars were handed over to Kulbushan Sharma of Samba, Rachna Kumari of Rajouri, Ashok Singh of Rajouri, Ab. Hamid of Armed Police 7th Battalion, Babli Devi of Patrara Rajouri and Ghulam Hyder of JKP,
Accordingly five Alto-800 cars were handed over to Muzaffer Hussain of Poonch, SPO Mohammad Kabir of Rajouri, Gh. Mohammad and Ved Prakash of Samba. Five Motor cycles were distributed among Mohinder Kumar of Janipur Jammu, Reyaz Ahmad of Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad, Mohammad Ayub of Shalteng Srinagar and Aijaz Hussain of CID Headquarters.
Three Scooties were handed over to Immad-ud-din Parray of Zirpara Bijbehara, Abdul Qayoom of Bandipora and Charrandas of Hiranagar. Three ACs were given to Mohammad Ashraf, Reyaz Ahmad and Imtiyaz Ahmad of Kupwara.
Similarly, three LEDs were handed over to Bashir Ahmad Shah, Basharat Banday of Poonch and Nageena Akhter. One Smart Phone, cash prize of Rs. 11,000, one Tab and two Washing Machines were distributed among Asif Afzal of Hanwara, Sidhant Sharma, Nihal Singh of R S Pura, Mohammad Maqbool of Kulgam and Rajinder Bhandhari of Talab Tiloo Jammu.
The prizes were distributed in presence of senior police officers which include DG Home-guards, Gopal Reddy, ADGPs, Navin Agarwal, VK Singh, SM Sahai, L Mohanti and AK Choudhary, IGPs, HK Lohia, Muneer Ahmed Khan, Danesh Rana, Yoginder Koul, SL Sharma, Jagjit Kumar and MA Ganai, Director SSG, SA Mujtaba, DPT, Hilal Ahmed, AIGPs, Dr. Mohammad Haseeb Mughal, Sheikh Junaid Mehmood, Tahir Sajad and Kulbir Singh and other police officers.
