Raghav’s fifty goes in vain as Aryan helps MGCA to register convincing win

JAMMU, Apr 25: Raghav Sharma’s magnificent 66 runs went in vain as Aryan scored 51 runs to help Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) to beat JKP Junior Cricket team by 7 wickets in Under-14 boys Exhibition Cricket match, conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Police at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
The match was held with an objective to provide platform to the young cricketers to hone their skill and exhibit their talent. Earlier, batting first, JKP Jr scored 87 runs in 12 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Raghav Sharma was the top scorer with 66 runs off 38 balls. Arjun and Abay shared one wicket.
In reply, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy chased the target in 11.3 overs. Aryan top scored with 51 runs, while Avesh contributed 13 runstothe total. Aryaman and Laith shared one wicket for JKP Jr team.
Ashok Sharma, SSP PCR was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed trophies among the winners on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, he lauded the efforts of the youngsters in showing zeal and zest by naming a few like Kartik Gill and Aryan.
The match was conducted under the overall supervision of Rajesh Gill, former Ranji player and Chief Prosecuting Officer of JKP.
