REASI, Sept 13: Three days Divisional Level Inter District Fencing Tournament for boys and girls concluded today.
On the valedictory function, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Advocate Ajay Nanda, was the chief guest, who while speaking described fencing as the most promising and upcoming sport in district Reasi and the State of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured his whole hearted support in the development of fencing equipment in the district. Additional SSP Reasi Sanjay Rana was the guest of honour on the occasion. ZPEO Reasi Om Parkash, ZPEO Chassana, Lecturer Ajay Kumar Billa and Ashok Katal, Manohar Lal, Chaman Lal and Jagdish Chander were also present on the occasion. The bouts were officiated by Ajay Kumar and Ujjwal Gupta.
In Under-14 Epee girls, Raghi of Jammu, Manya of Reasi, Twinkle of Jammu and Saimah of Reasi claimed first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, while in Under-14 Foil girls, Malvi of Jammu, Mansi of Jammu, Sonia of Reasi and Aaporva of Jammu clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-15 Sabre girls, Kritarthi, Shreya and Ananya, trio of Jammu and Shahida of Reasi bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in Under-17 Epee girls, Pihul of Reasi, Sakshi and Muskaan, both of Jammu and Vanshika of Reasi clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-17 Foil girls, Simran of Jammu, Aarushi, Vishali and Pallavi, trio of Reasi bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-17 Sabre girls, Shivasni Sharma, Simran Thakur and Ayushi Sharma, trio of Reasi and Bhummi of Jammu clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-19 Epee girls, Archana of Reasi, Shamshad of Jammu, Anuradha of Reasi and Sonia of Reasi claimed first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-19 Foil girls, Riya of Jammu, Diksha of Reasi, Deepika of Reasi and Vishali of Jammu bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-19 Sabre girls, Jaspreet, Keofeeka, Sonali and Neetika, all of Jammu bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-14 Epee boys, Pragun of Jammu, Ajay Chalotra of Reasi, Samarthya of Jammu and Mohit of Reasi claimed first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-14 Foil boys, Tanish of Jammu, Bharat of Reasi, Shivam of Jammu and Tanmay of Jammu clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-14 Sabre boys, Mayank, Lakshay and Suryansh, trio of Jammu and Akshay of Reasi bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-17 Epee boys, Vikas Verma, Mayank Kapoor and Parvinder, trio of Reasi and Saksham of Jammu bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under- 17 Foil boys, Saksham of Jammu, Prashant of Reasi, Aryan of Jammu and Jerrison of Jammu clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-17 Sabre boys, Amit Chib of Udhampur, Ajay Singh of Reasi, Harsh of Jammu and Pranay of Jammu claimed first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-19 Epee boys, Jasbir of Reasi, Rohit of Udhampur, Jatin of Jammu and Sainyam of Jammu bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in under-19 Foil boys, Tariq, Anish, Rabnawaz and Ajay, all of Jammu clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In Under-19 Sabre boys, Karun and Rudhra, both of Jammu, Nikhil Attri of Reasi and Abdul Rafiq of Jammu claimed first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
