JAMMU, July 13: Raghuvir Challengers Cricket Club Akhnoor defeated Vishal Cricket Club by 4 wickets in the ongoing Summer Cup T20 Under-17 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Vishal CC scored a meagre total of 74 runs in the stipulated 18 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Nikhil (13 off 15 balls) and Vishal (10 off 12 balls) were the main scorers. For Raghuvir Challengers Cricket Club, Kanav and Amit shared 2 wickets each, while Thapa and Arvind claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Raghuvir Challengers Club chased the target in 14 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Kanav to scored with (30 off 33 balls), while Kirpal contributed 13 off 8 balls. For Vishal Cricket Club, Vishav took 2 wickets, while Vishal, Vikrant and Neeraj shared 1 wicket each. Kanav was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Amit Mangotra and Deepak Mangotra as umpires, while Rohit Mangotra was the scorer.
The Tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Kr. Sham Singh Langeh, President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
With this win, Raghuvir Cricket Club has entered into the finals and will lock horns with Little Flower High School in the summit clash on July 16, 2017 at the same venue.
