NEW DELHI : After helming ‘Everybody Says I am Fine’, actor-director Rahul Bose is back to direction with ‘Poorna’, a biopic of youngest girl to climb Mt Everest, trade sources said. Poorna was 13 when she climbed the Everest two years ago. Produced by Raay Media, ‘Poorna’ , a biopic about Malavath Poorna, a tribal girl from Telangana who became the youngest girl to climb Mt Everest, will hit screens on March 31.The film is being presented by Raay Media in association with Junglee Pictures. This film takes the viewer from her small hut in Telangana to Bhongir Fort outside Hyderabad, to Darjeeling and Sikkim, to Nepal, and then to the top of Everest. The film also features Rahul in a key role of Poorna’s mentor RS Praveen Kumar. Rahul has said the film features unarguably some of the best footage from the summit of Everest one has ever seen. Poorna marks Rahul’s return to direction after 15 years, having earlier helmed ‘Everybody Says I am Fine’ in 2001. (AGENCIES)
