Rahul of KC Public bags U-17 title

JAMMU, Sept 23: Rahul Dhar of KC Public School bagged Under-17 boys title in the Inter-School Chess Championship, organized by All J&K Chess Association, which concluded at Hotel Nek, here.
Earlier, Dewang of Jodhamal Public School claimed Under-7 boys title, while Shashwat of KV Sunjwan claimed Under-9 title. Prabnoor of Jodhamal School lifted the title in Under- 13 boys, while Puneet of Pragmatic School claimed title in Under-13 boys and the title trophy in Under-15 boys went to Army School Kaluchak.
According a handout issued here, 70 players drawn from 25 schools participated in the event and the selected players would represent J&K in Inter-School Championship to be held at Delhi from October 26, 2012.
Atul Kumar Gupta, President All J&K Chess Association and Secretary Baldev Raj distributed prizes among the winners on the valedictory function.
