JAMMU, June 3: Superb centuries by Rahul and Satnam helped Royal Cricket Club and Chandwan Cricket Club to register big victories over their rivals in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA; Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA.
In the match played at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, Jammu, Royal Cricket Club defeated Bantalab Riders by 67 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Royal Cricket Club scored 215 runs in 29.2 overs. Rahul scored brilliant 107 runs, while Suraj Kumar contributed 24 runs to the total. From Bantalab Riders, Yasir took 3 wickets while Jagjit Singh claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Bantalab Riders scored 148 runs in 26.2 overs to lose the match by 67 runs. Sunny, Vikrant and Vikas took 2 wickets each. Rahul was adjudged as the man of the match for his magnificent batting display.
At Police Line Kathua, Chandwan Cricket Club thrashed KV XI by a big margin of 179 runs.
Batting first, Chandwan Cricket Club scored 332 runs in 40 overs. Satnam Singh scored 102 runs. Hardeep and Suresh took 4 wickets each from KV XI.
In reply, KV XI managed to score 153 runs, thus lost the match by a huge margin of 179 runs. Sanjeev top scored with 42 runs. Satnam was adjudged as the man of the match.
