SRINAGAR, Aug 26: BJP leader and National executive member, ST Morcha, Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, today said that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the firing hit areas in Poonch district was a political stunt and the Congress vice-president was shedding crocodile tears to attract media attention.
Poswal reminded Congress National Vice president of escalation in cross border violence and pathetic situation of border residents during the Congress regime.
He said that NDA Government led by Narendra Modi was serious in addressing the security concerns of border residents who have been at the receiving end of unprovoked firing from across the border.
He said that Pakistan Government recently suspended the NSA level talks with India after India sent a message loud and clear that terrorism and talks cannot go together.
“The Government is aware of its responsibilities and Rahul Gandhi should take care of his own party which is reduced to nothing past over a year,” Poswal added.
