UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Residents of Railway Employees’ Colony today staged a dharna against Railway authorities to protest shifting of Railway Medical Dispensary from Udhampur to Katra.
The dharna was held under the leadership of Ram Kumar Sharma. Political activists Raj Kumar Bucha, Rohit Sethi and several others also joined the protest. They raised slogans against the Railway authorities and warned an agitation against proposed shifting of the Medical Dispensary.
Ex Minister and MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta also reached the spot where people explained him that the Medical Dispensary in Railway Colony Udhampur has been existing since 2002 and now it is being shifted to Railway Colony Katra.
Pawan Gupta assured that he would take up this matter with the concerned authorities of Railways and also bring this issue into the notice of MoS in PMO and local MP Dr Jatinder Singh for necessary instructions to the authorities concerned.
