JAMMU, Apr 30: To resent the Central Government’s decision of deferring DA installment of the employees till June 2021, Railway employees are observing a protest week.
In this connection, a protest demonstration was held here today at Jammu Tawi, under the banner of Uttariya Railway Mazdoor Union, led by branch secretary Jagdish Raj Bhagat. Wearing masks and maintaining social distancing norms, the protesting employees raised slogans against the Government decision of deferring DA installment.
Mr Bhagat said that instead of encouraging the Railway employees, who are performing duties round the clock for ensuring regular supply through goods trains notwithstanding COVID-19 threat, the Government was snatching their due right. He appealed the Government to review its decision of deferring DA installment and release the same.
Others, who addressed the protest demonstration, included ram Dayal, Ram Lal, Satish Verma, Bhushan Chand, Ramesh Kumar Nathi, Ashok Tannu, Lav, Tinku, Devashis, Shambhu, Jagtaar and Madan.
