SUNDERBANI, Feb 26: The construction work on 80 bedded hospital building in Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri district was started today in presence of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ravinder Raina.
MLA Raina in presence of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Executive Engineer and others started the construction work of the hospital building by himself laying the first stone.
Speaking on the occasion, Raina appreciated the role of Governor N.N Vohra and district administration for starting and expediting the work on this much needed hospital building which would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.16 crore.
Congratulating the people, Raina said that it is a big day for Sunderbani and the people would take a sigh of relief here as the existing hospital building is already very loaded due to rush of the patients from within and outside areas of Sunderbani like Reasi, Pouni, Kalakote, Nowshera etc.
Ravinder asserted that improving and modernizing healthcare facilities in the Jammu and Kashmir State in general and particularly in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch will be the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) priority as the people in these districts have to rush to Jammu or Srinagar in case of emergency or for specialized treatment.
