Rajasthan Pink to lock horns with Jammu Green in final

JAMMU, Oct. 4: Rajasthan Pink XI and Jammu Green XI registered emphatic wins over their rivals during the on going “JKP Women T20 Cricket Cup” and entered the final, here. The tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department for the promotion of Girls cricketers of the state.
Earlier, in the first match Jammu Green XI defeated  Madhya pardesh XI by 8 wickets.
Batting first, Madhya Pardesh XI scored only 38 runs in 11.5 overs for all wickets, with Diyangi (13) and  Deepika  (9) being the main scorers. From Jammu Green XI Dhanushree took 4 wickets and Sarla took 3 wickets  for her team.
Jammu Green XI, in reply  achieved the target in 6.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets only thus won the match by 8 wickets. Meenu  was the top scorer with 13 runs, while Payal Choudhary  contributed 11 runs. For Madyha Pardesh XI Preeti took 2 wickets. Dhanushree was adjudged woman of the match.
In the second match, Rajasthan Pink  XI scripted a thrilling win  against  Jammu Reds XI.
Batting first Jammu Reds scored 83 runs in the allotted 16 overs match for the loss of 4 wickets with Chitra (34) and Sanjana (27) were the main scorers. For Rajasthan Pink XI  Babita and Zaika took one each.
In reply Rajasthan Pink XI chased the target in 15th over of the game for the loss of 5 wickets. Babita  was the top scorer with 25 runs while Puja contributed 24 runs for the team. Neeru took 2 wickets, while Sanjana and Shalu took 1 wicket each. Babita was declared Woman of the match .
In another match Jammu Greens XI defeated Jammu Reds XI by 7 wickets .
Batting first Jammu Reds XI scored 98 runs in 16 overs for the loss of 5 wickets with Sanjana (40) and Neeru (34) were the main scorers. Payal Choudhary took 2 wickets, Sarla took one wicket.
In reply Jammu Greens XI chased the target in 14 overs by losing only 3 wickets. Roopali (33) and Sarla(33) were the main scorers. Shalu, Sanjana and Heena shared one wicket each for their team thus Jammu Greens XI won the match by 7 wickets and enters in the final. Roopali was declared woman of the match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem ur Rehman, Sadiq Hussain, S.Sambyal, RP Singh, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda and Vinod.
The final match will be played between the Jammu Greens XI and Rajasthan Pink XI at 12.30 pm informed Rajesh Gill organizing secretary of the tournament.
