Rajendra reviews security scenario in border areas of Ladakh

LEH, Mar 25: Director General of Police (DGP),   K. Rajendra Kumar today visited forward areas of Indo-China Border which include Thakung, Pangong Lake Shushul and Loma Band to review security scenario.
He was accompanied by IGP Kashmir, SJM Gillani, SSP Leh, T Gyalpo and SP CID Sonam Deachen.
During the visit, the DGP reviewed the security and police deployment of personnel in the border areas. He also interacted with the police, army and ITBP personnel and discussed various measures required for strengthening the security grid and coordination among all security agencies.
Mr. Rajendra was briefed by the officers of police, army and ITBP authorities about deployment of personnel and other security measures put in place in these sensitive border areas. He also interacted with the local populace of the area and gave them patient hearing besides directing the police to address their genuine grievances.
Earlier, DGP also visited Police Memorial Leh where he paid floral tributes to the Police Martyrs.
The DGP also addressed the Police personnel and reiterated that the security and protection  of the nation  will be the prime concern of the Jammu and Kashmir Police adding that supreme sacrifices made by JKP personnel towards the protection of the people will be remembered  always.
