JAMMU, Sept 14: Aam Aadmi Party Jammu and Kashmir senior leader, Rajesh Gupta called on AAP Karnataka president, Prithvi Reddy at Bangaluru and joined the protest, organised by the Karnataka Party, today.
The AAP president Prithvi Reddy led the party workers to stage a protest and lay siege to the Vidhan Sabha demanding the resignation of Minister, Sriramulu in connection with the series of suicides of transport employees.
Rajesh Gupta discussed AAP affairs with Sawhney and said, “AAP has been emerging as the most loved political force in J&K, where people have been voluntarily joining the Party.
“As we are sure that this love of people for AAP will turn into votes, we are also expecting that the high voter turnout in favour of AAP would also increase the overall voting percentage in Jammu and Kashmir,’’ Gupta said.
In the Jammu region, where voting percentage traditionally remains high, “AAP will certainly emerge as a key stakeholder,” claimed Rajesh Gupta.
He said like Delhi AAP is spreading its roots in Karnataka, Gujrat, Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir etc.
Gupta further said that thousands of casual workers and daily wagers, who have been hitting the streets since long in favour of their demands, were told by the BJP leadership in J&K that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would announce something major for them during his visit to Jammu’s Palli village on April 24 but nothing has been done so far, Gupta claimed.
“All the promises made by the J&K BJP are merely rhetoric which disappointed the employees who voted for BJP in almost all the elections,” Gupta said.
