JAMMU, May 24: MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta honoured the medal winners of Sub Junior, Junior and Senior National Pencak Silat Championship along with Indo-Nepal event in a felicitation function at Press Club, here today.
The gold medal winners in Sub Junior and Junior National Championship included Ashutosh Sharma, Sumer Jamwal, Mann Singh, Maithali and Khushboo, while the silver medal were bagged by Naresh Manhas and Saranjot Singh and bronze medals went to Samarth, Idhant Gupta, Karan, Kushav Charak, Aman Bangotra, Aakash Chib and Shivam Sharma.
The gold medal winners in Senior National Championship included Arun Singh Charak and Naresh Manhas, while the gold medal winner in Senior National Championship was Karan Chopra, the silver medal went to Arun Singh Charak and Naresh Manhas AND Akhil Sharma, Aditi Bhagat, Karan Bhagat, Rajinder Singh and Ajay Sharma claimed bronze medals.
Meanwhile, J&K’s 5 players have been selected for India Camp for 18th Asian Games to be held at Jakarta in Indonesia. These players included Arun Singh Charak, Karan Chopra, Naresh Manhas, Akhil Sharma and Komal Dhiman.
