NEW DELHI : Home Minister Rajnath Singh today convened a high level meeting on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, an official source said here.
The meeting has been convened after intelligence agencies reportedly suggested that Pakistani agencies and elements supported by them would try to create more protest and violence in the militancy-hit Jammu and Kashmir especially against security forces.
“There are reports and inputs from agencies that efforts would be made to instigate local people in Kashmir valley for activities like stone pelting through online mainly,” the source said.
The meeting would discuss among other things on how to frame strategies to counter various Pakistani propaganda. J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday and made a strong cause to revisit ‘Atal Behari Vajpayee formula’ and kick start negotiations with all sections of Kashmiris and all stakeholders.
