Rajouri beats Doda by 107 runs

RAJOURI, Dec 13: The Brigadier Usman Cricket Tournament, organized by the Indian Army to promote sportsmanship and youth engagement, continued to captivate audiences on its fourth day.
In a match between Rajouri and Doda, Rajouri, batting first, posted an impressive total of 190/3. Bilal Ahmed stole the show with a brilliant century, scoring 106 runs off just 52 balls, marking the first century of the tournament. His performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
In response, Doda struggled against Rajouri’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for just 83 runs, handing Rajouri a commanding 107-run victory. The match also showcased individual brilliance, with Yasser Hussain of Rajouri winning the best fielder award and Owais Ganai of Doda being recognized for the best catch. Bilal Ahmed’s dominance was further highlighted by his most sixes award.
Brigadier Bir Bikram, Commander of the 80 Infantry Brigade, praised the transformative power of sports, encouraging the youth to engage in outdoor activities, emphasizing teamwork, discipline and perseverance.
