Rajouri Police organises workshop

RAJOURI, June 13: The Raising Day of J&K Police was celebrated in Rajouri by organizing a Workshop by District Police Rajouri on the role of Police towards youth problems.
The workshop was attended by more than 500 students from different Colleges of Rajouri, prominent citizens and officers of the civil administration.
SP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi delivered an extensive lecture on the problems of youth and need of a holistic response. He enumerated the various problems faced by youth which including youth bulge, loss of parental control, generational disconnect, education disparity, violence in educational institutions and politics, materialism, drug and alcohol abuses, un-employment and lack of jobs, corruption, negativity, radicalism, over exposure and social networking.
Mr Latifi stressed upon various measures to control road rage, stress, depression, anger, suicidal tendencies and avoidance of drugs. SP Rajouri also highlighted the need of developing mechanism for improving accountability, vocational and emotional counseling, engagement of youth in social services, providing job opportunity, curbing corruption, crushing the menace of drugs and need to have transparency and fair play  in every sphere of life.
SP Rajouri appealed the youth to avail facilities of Youth  Club established by District Police Rajouri and involve themselves actively in various sports, cultural, academic and extra-curricular activities organized by J&K Police.
