RAJOURI, Feb 13: With the objective of harnessing the talent of youth, District Police Rajouri today organized a District Level Talent Hunt Competition ‘Chhoona Hai Aasman’ under Civic Action Programme at District Police Lines, here today.
The Competition was held in two categories of Senior and Junior, in which 57 contestants (28 Junior, 29 Senior) from various Schools/Colleges participated.
In senior category, Gourav Chandan, Mohd Wasim, Mohd Zafar, Diksha Manhas, Sonia Devi and Masoom Bali whereas in Junior categories Koshal Kumar, Sayam Sharma, Romit Singh, Diya Bhari, Reema and Atiya Zubair were adjudged as best singers.
Eight top selected candidates would now participate at Range Level Competition. The function was attended by prominent citizens and Heads of various Government/Private Institu-tions. The jury members comprised of Khurshid Mir Janam, Rajeev Sharma, Parvaiz Malik and Imtiyaz Shah.
Johnny William, DIG of Police Rajouri-Poonch Range distributed trophies, cash prizes and certificates among the winning candidates.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that J&K Police will leave no stone unturned to provide a platform to the youth of this State in Sports and cultural activities by organizing different sports and cultural events.
SSP Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh in his address said that J&K Police would organize more such events in order to provide a platform to the youth for exhibiting their talent.
