Rajouri, May 24: With the objective to boost the relationship between Police and Public and to harness the young talent through different sports activities, Rajouri Police organized various competition/tournaments, under Civics Action Programme.
As a part of this endeavor, District Police Rajouri today organized a wrestling competition at Koteranka under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kandi organized by Tejinder Singh, Additional SP Rajouri and SI Mohd Bashir, SHO P/S Kandi.
50 wrestlers from District Jammu, Reasi, and other parts of District Rajouri participated.
SSP Rajouri, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal was the chief guest on the occasion. Kala Khan of Khawas Rajouri defeated Mardhan Ali of Jammu to win a cash prize of Rs 5000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mughal said that J&K Police is organizing these tournaments to groom local talent and emphasized greater co-operation with the public.
