JAMMU, Oct 27: In order to help District Police Jammu in ensuring smooth flow of vehicular traffic, improving road safety and to keep vigil over the activities of anti-social and anti-national elements RAK Ceramics Jammu handed over 100 barricades to Jammu Police under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in a function organized at District Police Lines, here today.
Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu Zone was the chief guest on the occasion, while other officers present on the occasion were Rafiq-ul-Hassan, DIG JSK Range, Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu, Sandeep Choudhary, SP South Jammu, RC Kotwal, SP Headquarters Jammu, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, SP Rural Jammu, Gourav Mahajan, DySP DAR DPL Jammu, Vimarsh Kaul, Sales Manager, Ceramics and Anoop Singh, Area Sales Manager-Tiles.
Dr SD Singh Jamwal said that these barricades will be used for regulating traffic in the areas, separating vehicle ways and pedestrian paths and also for crowd control on various occasions.
Deliberating further, IGP Jammu added that road safety is paramount importance and it is vital to take adequate measures to avoid mishaps and ensuring public safety.
“Placing safety barricades is a small step in the right direction and we are pleased to have RAK Ceramic support in ensuring a safer environment for the people of Jammu”, he added.
Vimarsh Kaul, Sales Manager Ceramics told that RAK Ceramics, Jammu will provide more assistance to J&K Police in future under CSR.
