JAMMU, Dec 10: Rakesh Kumar brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by securing three Gold medals in Powerlifting, Bench Press and Deadlift under 110 kg Master category in the 21st World Powerlifting Championship, organised under the banner of World Powerlifting Federation.
The championship was organised by Amateur Powerlifting Federation of India at Divisional Sports Indoor Stadium, Amravati (Maharashtra) from December 4 to 8.
General Secretary of Amateur Powerlifting Federation of India, Deepak Bagul and team coach, Amit Dutta lauded the efforts of Rakesh Kumar and wished best of luck for upcoming events.
