JAMMU, Oct 10: Rakesh Roshan of BSF School Paloura won gold in Under-19 boys Long Jump event of the District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet, which got underway at Sports Stadium, BSF Paloura, here today.
Rakesh Singh of MHAC Nagbani claimed silver in this event, while Shalinder of HSS Pallanwala bagged bronze.
Over 500 boys drawn from various institutions of District Jammu are participating in this event which is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu.
Meanwhile, in 5000 mts Under-19 boys, Raj Kumar of HSS Dhakar claimed gold, while in shot put, Rizwan of MIER bagged gold.
In 800 mts Under-19 boys, Karan Pal Singh of HS Sohal bagged gold, while in 800 mts Under-17 boys gold medal went to Dalip Sharma of CB HSS Jammu.
The shot put boys Under-17 gold went to Bunty Kumar of HSS Miran Sahib, while Ravi Kumar of HSS Miran Sahib bagged long jump boys Under-17 gold.
The 3000 mts Under-17 boys gold went to Parveen Kumar of HSS Sohanjana, while 600 Under-14 boys gold was bagged by Sajad Ali of BSF Paloura.
Sunpreet Singh of KC Public School claimed gold in Lomg Jump Boys under-14, while Kajal Singh of mhac Nagbani won gold in Shot Put under-14 boys.
