Ram Paul Kapoor wins bronze at Int’l Marathon

JAMMU, Oct 16: Ram Paul Kapoor, a retired J&K Bank officer, has brought pride to India and Jammu & Kashmir by winning a bronze medal in the Munich International Marathon, Germany. Competing in the 10K marathon, Kapoor clocked a time of 56 minutes, securing a podium finish in the 65+ age category. This marathon, one of the most prestigious in the world, saw the participation of around 20,000 athletes from across the globe.
Kapoor’s remarkable achievement makes him the first Indian to win a medal in this age category at the Munich Marathon. This was his 8th appearance in international marathons, raising his total podium medal count to 43. The J&K UT Masters Athletic Association, including President Abdul Qayoom, General Secretary Tarseem Lal Basotra, and Vice President Sudesh Kumari, congratulated Kapoor on his outstanding accomplishment.
