JAMMU, Oct 9: Ram Paul Kapoor (Retired J&K Bank Officer) brought laurels to the Union Territory by winning gold medal in 10 kilometres long marathon.
He won a gold medal in 2nd edition of the Jalandhar Marathon on Sunday in the age category of 65 to 75 years. He clocked the timing 51:52 minutes to complete the race. The marathon was flagged off by chief guest Fauja Singh, the Indian legend and great athlete (105 years old).
Ram Paul Kapoor has won 4th gold medal in a row in the year 2023 and his podium medals tally has gone to 40 and now he is going to participate in the Vedanta Delhi half marathon to be held on 15 October. Paul has also registered for the Frankfurt Germany half marathon to be held in March 2024.
